How to perfect your lipstick | Pictorial

Sometimes just chucking on a lipstick isn't going to cut it, especially with some formulas that like to make their way over your face, or does that just happen to me?
I've found that applying my lipstick this way, using different lip liners & doing it in different layers helps it to stay put & last a lot longer, too. This is not something that I do everyday but when I have time & I'm wearing a bolder lip colour I like to spend a bit more on the lips.

How to: Effortless Glowy Skin

If you've been following me for a while, you probably know that I absolutely love a glowy/ dewy foundation finish. As my skin is dry/ dehydrated I love looking like I have a healthy glow and here's how I achieve it!

Nyx Eyebrow Cake Powder // Review & How To

Ever since I ran out of my E.L.F Eyebrow Kit ages ago, I have been just using the dark brown eyeshadow from the Sleek Storm palette, and after I hit pan on that big time I went to the darkest brown in the Wet n Wild Vanity Palette. But I have been wanting to use an eyebrow kit for the longest time now, so I thought I would give NYX's eyebrow cake powder a go, and have been using it for over a month now.

La Splash Glitters // Review, Swatches & Comparison

Recently-ish I I received my La Splash Glitter Splash that I purchased from Cherry Culture as I had shown here. I've only really tried NYX's loose glitters before so I will be doing a little bit of a comparison between these 2 brands and a small review & swatches. Oh, I plan to (and have already ordered some more ;) ) buy more in the near future so I will keep updating the swatches.

Smokey Glitter; Subtle or Dramatic?

These are from 2 different weekends but I wanted to do a glittery cut crease & a subtle glitter clubbing look. I used the same Sleek Palette- my go to, dramatic-smokey-eye look Bad Girl in both looks with Glitter by Nyx. These are definitely way too OTT for during the day but perfect for an eye-catching night look.

Masquerade Makeup: Drama if you dare.

A few weekends ago we went to a masquerade ball. Of course I wanted to do big, dramatic makeup for it lol. It was a really good night... when they started playing good music lol. The dress code was meant to be strict but there were quite a few people in short club dresses and people without masks... which is not what a masquerade ball is about! lol. Anyway, apart from that, it was reallly hot in the ball area and because my mask was tucked into my hair it was hard to take it off without my eyes smudging lol.

Taking your makeup from day to night.

I understand that this day makeup may be too much for some, but in this post I am going to show you how I take my makeup from day to night. There's not a huge difference, but there's a few main factors that can change your makeup from 'work' to 'night-on-the-town'. Depending on how much makeup you like to wear, of course. I don't always have natural makeup for the day though :D

Birthday Makeup! Mod Cat Eye Look.

Go Charlotte, It's your birthday! Yes, I finally turned the big 21. (that's what I said about my 18th, feels like yesterday but its already flown by).
I had some friends around for drinks on Saturday night  and on the night of my birthday (Tuesday) we went out for dinner with the family. I suppose nothing else has changed except now I am actually classed as an adult (How scary!! :P) since I've been able to legally drink & go to clubs since I was 18. But now I can go to the US and do it all as well!
To the makeup.... even though the drinks was pretty casual I wanted to go all glam with the makeup. As you do ;). I thought I would stuff it up but I didn't, woohoo!

6 Different ways to curl your hair

What's your fave way to curl your hair, and what do you like to use?

How to get bouncy curls overnight!

There are many ways to get curls with no heat, but this is such a pretty way that you can wear out before taking it out- I left mine in for 24 hours before I did (believe me the elastic headband kept slipping down & driving me crazy, but if the hair was coming out all it took was to kind of roll the hair back under the band).

All I used was an elastic head band and twisted my hair starting from the front & working side to side until all hair is tucked under it. Its hard to visualize like that but there are a few great tutorials on youtube.
I couldn't find the one from lilithedarkmoon   but this is what I did

I used a thinner one for my hair so the curls turned out a bit different to hers but it's pretty much the same result. You can also add mousse to your hair before twisting it.
Sorry for the instagram photo lol- but this is how it looks from behind. Super Pretty!

Sigma face Brushes: F82 + F84

I've been window shopping on the Sigma website for the longest time, making wishlists but not actually purchasing. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a couple of face & eyebrushes.
Today I'm reviewing the Sigma f82 and f84 brushes. I purchased them a few weeks ago as a pack together as they had a special of $8 off and because I have been looking for something like these for a while.

How I fill in my eyebrows tutorial

Eyebrows are definitely one of the most important features on your face as it frames everything so if your eyebrows are untidy your makeup may not look as clean as what you would like. It is important to get them shaped by a professional especially the first time around, and to upkeep with tweezing the extra hairs that are coming through or with regular waxing.
You may also have sparse brows that look unfinished, and a way to add a more polished look is to fill them in. You can get your eyebrows tinted to your desired colour but that wont define the shape.

I'm not going to go into eyebrows shapes and all of that however I did want to share how I filled mine in. It is really quite simple and is just another step in the morning that I believe I cannot go without :) So here it is.

How to: Cream Contouring & Highlighing

I like to do contour & highlight for a put together look especially for a night out & it adds a lot of dimension to your face, especially since I feel like I have no cheekbones. I used to only do it with powders but I find that doing it with cream concealers that are a few shades darker/ lighter than your skin tone help it look more polished plus you can still set it with the powders on top.

How to make your lips look bigger & fuller

I have more of a bottom lip then a top lip ( especially when I smile, it almost completely disappears lol)
so here is a tutorial on some tricks that I have learnt on making your lips bigger & fuller.
Before & After. I think my lips look a little too porn star like though ;) You don't have to agree!Sorry that it goes off into the sidebar (on my computer anyways) to view properly, left click on it & it should open a new window
