Glammed Up | Royal Blue & Silver Ball Makeup

Hey beauties!
A couple of weekends ago we went to a charity ball called The Ball Of Hope to raise money for mental health & Telethon which is an annual Western Australian fundraising organization that raises money for children with illness, so it was a good cause to get dressed up & help contribute towards that. In fact the Telethon child for this year is a girl from my home town so it felt even more meaningful. It was a fun night, we enjoyed a photo booth that they had where you dress up with props. But of course the fun part was getting ready.

You will see my dress in a moment, I was so excited to get and it got here with one week to spare so I was very thankful for that. With the makeup, of course I wanted it to be glamorous & I took the colour theme for my dress and hoped it wouldn't look too matchy-matchy.

La Splash Glitters // Review, Swatches & Comparison

 Recently-ish I I received my La Splash Glitter Splash that I purchased from Cherry Culture as I had shown here. I've only really tried NYX's loose glitters before so I will be doing a little bit of a comparison between these 2 brands and a small review & swatches. Oh, I plan to (and have already ordered some more ;) ) buy more in the near future so I will keep updating the swatches.

My actual V-day Makeup //Day To Night

I know it's almost been 2 weeks but as long as it's still February, right? (I always seem to be late, lol!)
But I still wanted to share my day-to-night makeup that I wore on Valentines day/ night.... because I can! Not that I need one day out of the whole year as an excuse to wear pink ;)

I've been waiting a while to receive all my packages that I ordered around the same time so I could put them into a collective haul-style post this time. I've been using some of the products in my FOTD's so I'm happy I can finally show you properly, now!

Pink Flamingo Makeup Look or Valentines if you wish ;)

Hi lovers!
Y'all know what today is, the (dreaded to some) Valentines day!! (at least it is where I am ;))

In case you haven't noticed I've been trying to name my more "exciting" makeup looks.... even if they do come out tacky-sounding! When I did this last week it wasn't meant to be for anything special but as I was writing this post I thought.... well what better time to post it! I was planning to do a verrry similar look for v-day anyway (I have a day and night version planned :P)

This was playing around with my La Splash Glitter (Haul post coming up, hopefully when I receive my next beauty order! Hurry up yo!!) & my Inglot eyeshadows again, finding out that I can make pretty combos using a brighter lid colour & browns throughout the crease. These glitters can be used sort of in daytime looks, depending on what you call daytime (can be a bit more dramatic for me :P) and adding just a touch makes for a pretty sparkly look :D

On Fiyah! Lava Dust Makeup Look

 I've been trying to use my Inglot eyeshadows a bit more lately and wanted to do something sunrise-ish and then I remembered I had a glitter that would go perfectly with this look! As you can see with my eyes open it's not very noticeable and then bam! I kept the rest of the face & lips quite light toned although I think it would look nicer with a coloured lip.

Aussie Aussie Aussie! FOTD

Oi Oi Oi!

On Saturday was Australia Day, better known as "Straya Day" to some (in case you didn't know, we love our slang!) It is that awesome day where you beach it, bbq & drink and have fun with friends & family. This year my brother, his gf & our mate came down to celebrate with us on the long weekend.

My NYE makeup

Hey guys, once again sorry for another late post with my New Years Eve makeup! I've been so busy this week to be able to get around to posting it. So I hope everyone had a great night partying, or whatever you did :) We had the hottest day on new years day that we've had in a long time.... 46.C or 115 F.! Which kinda sucked because it was way too hot for the beach :(
Anyway, it was humid on NYE especially when I was getting ready, so ignore the creasing!

Glam Smoky Eye Picture Tutorial

While I was doing this makeup for an engagement party I thought I may as well take pictures from each step for another tutorial. This is very similar to the eye's I wore here except a bit more glammed up with optional glitter, using the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. Keep reading to see how to do this look!

Smokey Glitter; Subtle or Dramatic?

These are from 2 different weekends but I wanted to do a glittery cut crease & a subtle glitter clubbing look. I used the same Sleek Palette- my go to, dramatic-smokey-eye look Bad Girl in both looks with Glitter by Nyx. These are definitely way too OTT for during the day but perfect for an eye-catching night look.

 

Masquerade Makeup: Drama if you dare.

A few weekends ago we went to a masquerade ball. Of course I wanted to do big, dramatic makeup for it lol. It was a really good night... when they started playing good music lol. The dress code was meant to be strict but there were quite a few people in short club dresses and people without masks... which is not what a masquerade ball is about! lol. Anyway, apart from that, it was reallly hot in the ball area and because my mask was tucked into my hair it was hard to take it off without my eyes smudging lol.

Balayage hair + glitzy club makeup!

I'm so sorry guys, I'm apologizing for the lack of posts again! Soo I got my hair done a couple of weeks back.. mainly coz my stupid roots were showing through haha.. I swear my hair grows too fast! This time she did more balayage through all of it, instead of just a few front sections like before. The only thing I will change next time is to probably just do the base colour through the top sections only to break up the lighter ends. It looks good curled, but there's kinda like a line between the colour when it's straight.
Aandd- I hate bleach, my ends feel yucky now & they tangle so easily! My hair is so much more static when I brush it too lol :(

Barbie Girl Makeup!

I wasn't sure what makeup I wanted to do on the weekend for a "Barbie & Ken" themed party, but I remembered an older makeup look where someone said I probably looked like a barbie haha so I pretty much just copied that, so they are very similar. I did like the shape of this one a lot more, though. 
I also did my friends makeup for that night :)

Birthday Makeup! Mod Cat Eye Look.

Go Charlotte, It's your birthday! Yes, I finally turned the big 21. (that's what I said about my 18th, feels like yesterday but its already flown by).
I had some friends around for drinks on Saturday night  and on the night of my birthday (Tuesday) we went out for dinner with the family. I suppose nothing else has changed except now I am actually classed as an adult (How scary!! :P) since I've been able to legally drink & go to clubs since I was 18. But now I can go to the US and do it all as well!
To the makeup.... even though the drinks was pretty casual I wanted to go all glam with the makeup. As you do ;). I thought I would stuff it up but I didn't, woohoo!

Clubbing FOTD x2

These 2 looks are from a little while ago now, god damn it I wish I could keep up with posting.. I want to do some non FOTD posts but its just too hard to find time lol.... anywaay, as the title says these are 2 clubbing looks. Nothing too special or dramatic but I really liked them.

Blue Lagoon

Firstly yay I've finally reached 200 followers it feels like it has taken me forever but I had a slow start, thanks to each & every one of you :)

Anyway, On this day I wanted to stick to blues, the reason for it is at the bottom. May I say that I'm really proud of myself, as silly as it sounds, because I really like how this turned out, & hope you can see the depth that I tried to create with the colours, like in a nice blue lagoon.

A couple of Nails..

Last weeks mani... wanted to use all my new polishes at once :) We got to go to a wholesalers (lost my Hairmart cherry hehe) & I bought O.P.I Blue my mind (blue ha ha) & O.P.I Divine Swine.. should have bought some more for the bargain haha.
I also received the China Glaze Matte top coat in the mail so I used that on the tips to test it out, if you can see it, & it works yay haha except the bottle is so small that I would not want to use it all the time.
Sorry for the dents in my nail as I was not patient to wait for it to dry fully. :D

 This is my current mani & I am in love, I think I will be doing this a few more times!

I received the base colour as a birthday gift ages ago & never used it, and it seemed a bit too plain on its own so I added the glitter which I bought recently and it turned it aqua (I suppose that's thanks to the green :P) So its ADORme nail polish in colour 3 with BYS Glam glitter in Dazzling. With most glitters like this its kind of like a jelly base so its so hard to get the glitter in it onto the nails so I went over many times, resulting in the base colour to move around on some nails.

I am still slowly expanding my collection, much to the disapproval of SO hehe, I think I will definetly buy more of the BYS glitter nail polishes because they are so cheap, but depending on which country you live in it can be hard to find.
 
So I ask: Are you into accent nails & glitter? & Together or not at the same time?

Daytime Glamour

 For some reason the other day I felt like wearing makeup appropriate for going out.... so here it is haha. Complete with falsies & glitter.

ommmg the eyelashes are horrendous (application, anyway ha ha), I didn't even notice until I saw these pics. Although I could feel it coming off in the inner corner. Yikes! I'm too scared to bind them into my natural lashes with the eyelash curler in fears of the shape getting damaged.
 Also my hair is the biggest mess. IDK what to do with it lately =/

ok so for the eyes I applied nyx glitter liner in disco ball first and than applied the gray in the 2 Faced duo "Ooh Ahh" but I think I should have done it the other way around because it didn't work very well & the glitter sticked to my brush.
I used Nyx Black Bean (not pictured) before I applied the black in the 2 Faced duo & blended a bit into the silver. I also lightly applied a neutral colour in the crease.
A little bit of Nyx Milk JEP was used on the lower lashline but that was all as I wanted to keep that simple.
Lashes are by BYS.

For lips first I applied MAC hue and then BYS lipstick(red) on as a stain. & then a bit of the Revlon Colorstay lipgloss over the top.


How do you like to apply Nyx candy glitter eyeliners? Apart from as a liner lol


Oh also some sad news.
My brother found one of our cats, that we have only had for a little while after giving him a home as his old owners couldn't look after him anymore, on the road, hit by a car. His name was Blitz and although we only had him for a short time and he was a very naughty cat, we miss him so much as he was the friendliest, smoochiest cat ever(unlike our Mishka who is the biggest snob hehe).
 Doesn't help that we live on a busy road but we think it would have happened late last night, and although we try to keep him in at night things happen.

here he got into the pantry & knocked down the cat biscuits. naughty!! lol. He was a huge cat for his size and soo friendly, but he always tried to trip us up haha. A sad thing was Mishka never got used to him so he was always getting chased by her.

All that glitters: Fancy dress for New Years Eve

I hope everyone had a fun & safe new years!! Where I am we don't get fireworks, but we had a spectacular lightning show! (it was fine that day until the arvo, how typical). So my new years attire was a bit different from normal as we attended a dress up party haha, and we were going to change before we went out but decided not to. Although we got a fair few comments while we were out lol!

Christmas Look

To be honest, I wish I was more excited about Christmas. I guess it's not the same when your all growned up :( haha :P

So I did this look inspired by this blogger here. Mine wasn't meant to be christmassy but I decided that it can be since I haven't done a festive look yet. However It's a copy more than an inspiration because I didn't want to change a thing.& I got compliments at work so I was happy with that :)
