Hey guys, so I've been back settling into home & reality for a week, catching up with family & friends and remembering how to work again, although I wasn't gone for that long I suppose it's true that once you catch the traveling bug, you don't want to stop. I had left my blog in the hands of my scheduled posts, although for some reason that never worked so I had to physically post them myself! Has that happened to anybody else?
So I wanted to compose some pictures to post.... but considering I have over 2K it was so hard to choose! If you are a follower on my instagram you may have seen some already. It's going to be a pretty brief & to the point post but I hope you enjoy it!
L.A: 1. Hollywood Sign waay in the background. 2. Santa Monica Pier. 3. Walk of Fame 4. Rodeo Drive

Aussie Aussie Aussie! FOTD
Oi Oi Oi!
On Saturday was Australia Day, better known as "Straya Day" to some (in case you didn't know, we love our slang!) It is that awesome day where you beach it, bbq & drink and have fun with friends & family. This year my brother, his gf & our mate came down to celebrate with us on the long weekend.

Small Haul: Mac & Sportsgirl
On this weekend (2 weekends ago) we did the quickest roadtrip in history. 1400 km there & back in just over 24 hours to Perth! And that reason is... well, you will find out at the bottom of the post! But lets just say it will be the best thing for us for summer :D
So on this rush trip I was still able to get a bit of shopping in with my brothers' girl Kadie, we got to go to Garden City where I remembered they had MAC (again) so I had to buy a few things.

A small update + recent makeovers & kitty pics!
So not much has changed lately, work is going good, I now have 2 more assignments to go woohoo, an assessment and then I shall be hopefully qualified as a beauty therapist :D
The main gist of this post is to show you some makeup I have done on friends recently.. not as much as I'd like though, coz I'm getting used to doing it on other people now yahoo! I also got to do a younger girls flower girl makeup which was nice because I had to keep it natural but let her beauty shine through :D
This is my friend Shenitta who came over from interstate at the start of september. She is also a beauty therapist!
Going out for dinnner
I used the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, if my memory serves me well I used: Verve, Pistol, Busted, Tease & Bootycall. Ignore the eyeliner, I haven't quite got the knack of doing that on other yet. She has a similar eyeshape to me so it's quite easy to choose eyeshadow placement for her lol.

Two Spring Fresh Makeup Looks
Woo, no more winter here, and so far the first weekend of spring had been amazing! And then of course it's been freezing during the week but this weekend is meant to get better again.
It was perfect weather especially as I had a friend come down from interstate, and it had been 11 years so it was perfect to do all the touristy things & go to the beach.
This makeup was done a while ago now but it will probably be a go-to spring look as it was so easy & light for warmer weather.

Masquerade Makeup: Drama if you dare.
A few weekends ago we went to a masquerade ball. Of course I wanted
to do big, dramatic makeup for it lol. It was a really good night...
when they started playing good music lol. The dress code was meant to be
strict but there were quite a few people in short club dresses and
people without masks... which is not what a masquerade ball is about!
lol. Anyway, apart from that, it was reallly hot in the ball area and
because my mask was tucked into my hair it was hard to take it off
without my eyes smudging lol.

Barbie Girl Makeup!
I wasn't sure what makeup I wanted to do on the weekend for a "Barbie & Ken" themed party, but I remembered an older makeup look where someone said I probably looked like a barbie haha so I pretty much just copied that, so they are very similar. I did like the shape of this one a lot more, though.
I also did my friends makeup for that night :)

Pics from my weekend
Lame & boring title haha but I wanted to share something about my town with y'all.
Long story short, there were some huge granite rocks that nobody really knew what to do with them, so they got sent to my town. So I guess that is when they decided to make a full scale replica of the Stonehenge in England. There was a bit of controversy about where they were placing it & why they were going it but a couple wanted to take it on & build it on their block not far from their house, which is about 15km out of town.
Anyway, it was fathers day on Sunday & we had been out to lunch at the pub & randomly decided on the way home to go & have a look & take some pics, being the tourists we are :P Click pics to enlarge.

Engagement Party Makeup: Glittery Gold & Black
So, the engagement party is all over, which I'm kinda sad but happy about it, mainly because it was so fun to do all the decorations (which took only 2 days haha- 1 hour to clean the majority up with about 10 people) but now the stress is over! Time to relax, even though it was a great night. The shed had never ever been that decorated before and without my future M.I.L and her friends' help it wouldn't have happened. Anyhoo...
I got my hair curled that afternoon, and when it came to my makeup I didn't really have anything planned! But I knew I wanted it to stand out, so I went for gold glitter as you will see in the pics.

My Skin Revolution. Facial peel + Then & now pics
My skin has been on (what I like to call) a journey. So I have been collecting some photos for a while now, & looking back my skin has improved soo much that now I don't feel self-conscious when I go out of the house without makeup.
The 2 factors of this transformation would be going on the BCP which took a while to take effect on my skin, & getting a facial peel which has been the BAM that my skin needed. Lol =)
Before we get to the pics I want to talk a bit about this peel.
The name of this is 2B Bio Peel. You do 4 treatments (1 a week) which can only get done every 6 months (so that's 2x 4 treatments a year, hope I'm being confusing). I wouldn't want it anymore than that because I found it quite painful, and if you had done it too often I imagine it would be too damaging for your skin. It can also be done on your neck & decolletage if needed.
My fiance's mother has been doing my facial peel, which is $150 a session (prices will probably vary), however since she has been taking before & after pictures it has been a little gift ;)
I should mention that this peel works on different things for all ages- from acne, blackheads & scarring to pigmentation, wrinkles & sun damage. It actually injects little needles in your skin that keeps it working after the stuff has been taken off.
Anyway- before they apply the compound (while it is heating up) they will cleanse & prep your skin. & when the compound is applied they very gently rub it all over the skin (avoiding the eye area which is protected by Vaseline as well as the nostrils & mouth.) It stays on your skin for a few minutes depending on how sensitive your skin is & then it is wiped off. It doesn't take long for my skin to start tingling & slightly burn in some areas. Nothing is worse than when it gets itchy, though :P The pain is bearable & goes away after it is taken off. Although your face will feel prickly for sometime after. After that a mask is applied that soothes & cools down the skin, and that stays on for about 10-15 minutes. In this time you sleep :P
Once that is all done it takes about 40 mins from prep to end. It is important to wear sunscreen if you will be in the sun for as soon as it is over until the next 3-4 days. Also in that time your skin should peel (I found this wasn't too bad, it wasn't coming off in chunks or anything) & you know that it is working.
*phew- if you read all that, pat yourself on the back*
So now I am 3 weeks into part 2 of my facial & I wanted to share this in photos =)
Warning- Pic Heavy. You may not want to look too closely if pimples skeeve you out. You can also click on any pics to enlarge them. Apologies for the different sizing of the pics!
